Bioguard socks were first developed back in the 1980’s, as South Africa’s first true Anti-Bacterial Sock. All our socks are locally made, providing employment and growth opportunities to our local community on the outskirts of Hammanskraal, South Africa. Bioguard Socks are designed with passion and skill to be the ultimate foot companions. Our Bioguard socks motto and focus is to make “Socks that are good for you!”. Therefore we have used the latest sock making technology, to develop a unique set of technical and content/yarn features, which will truly be good for you, by providing support for a range of health and sporting applications.

Y- Frame:
Heel Support Knitted in Y-Frame Shape, Help to Prevent Heel Pain
Arch Support:
Added Compressive Knit around the Foot Arch, to help lift and support the Arch and Reduce Arch Pain.
Cushion Foot:
Extra Layer Knitted Under the Foot for a cushion like feel, provides added support and comfort
Reflective Guard:
Reflective Tape, Sealed on the back of the Sock, to Provide Greater Visibility for Safety Purposes, Great for Cycling on the Road!
Grip Support:
Rubber Studs added under the foot to increase grip and to reduce the risk of slipping. Can be used for Yoga, Stretching or for Comfortable Walking at hime in your Socks.
Smooth Knit:
Calf Section of the sock, knitted in Smooth Knit to provide comfortable smooth feel.
Comfort Seam:
Our Socks are Flat Seemed to provide Comfort Closest to the Toes.
Compression Support:
Graduated Compression Zones, added to the sock, to support increased blood flow.
Rib Knit or Helical Knit:
Calf Section of the Foot, Knitted in either a Rib Knit formation to provide added pull and support.
Breath Zones:
Mesh Ventilation Technology to help your feet breath and remain cooler during high performance sport.
Diabetic Knit:
Knitted with Diabetics in mind, the calf is knitted to gently Support the Diabetic Person and to help Reduce the risk of abrasions and cuts. All our Diabetic socks are Endorsed by Diabetes South Africa.
